We will know more of each other
as we meet in Spirit,
more of our hearts, more of our sparks,
more of our flights, our home, our satisfaction
We will know more of the land, too —
what it needs, what it gives,
who it shelters
All things grow richer as we’re rarified,
as we shift our cause/effect allegiance
to where our source lies.

Don’t panic. Don’t sink
from seeing the wind boisterous —
these are just screens before your eyes,
each one of them illusory
as the next
You can walk over these waves —
you don’t have to think
you need to change something
so you’ll be safe
Your security
is in the laws of your being,
the way you’re held beloved
in the Truth that holds everything,
every atom, every star,
in its perfect circle,
in its present grace.

Consider your capacity
to bring joy,
for it is the great gift
you share with every living thing —
it is what rouses you, what feeds you,
what makes you feel alive
There are so many ways,
small and large, that your being does this,
just like these trees,
just like these flowers,
just like these people working,
doing their job well,
just like the swallows that fly chirping
through our open house,
the sheer delight they have in living
lighting us up.

doesn’t need instruction
any more than water does,
welling up and lifting
whatever rides upon it,
flowing out and gathering,
tumbling brightly down
The power within
is not obstructed
by any circumstance or story —
it rises up
and becomes what you are knowing,
it cascades forth,
becoming what you are.

Everything comes when we need it —
help, visitors, time on our own,
and someday we may learn to trust
the Principle which brings this all in line
Someday we may understand
that what is given
is not the things that meet our needs,
but our identity, our heritage
as ones who are provided for
with richness and bright whimsey,
with thoughtfulness and boundless generosity —
given this place in Mind where
we sing and delight and are loved and delighted in,
just like everything is.

By virtue of your being, you can know
(before any assessment,
with no need to take your measure)
by virtue of your being —
just because you’re here —
you can know
that you are good
Good for your surroundings,
good for the ones you know,
good for the rolling out of time,
along the course of things that happen
Don’t ever think your being
is just grudgingly allowed —
you’re not a stand-in
for something that would be better
There is no way for you
to be any less than perfectly designed
and implemented
in the universe of Mind.

your source that holds you —
the depth and richness
of what it always offers
This well of sustenance
is your pleasure to pour forth,
in infinite, sparkling refreshment.
Nothing can hold your essence back,
nothing can stifle or wilt it
Dear one, in this
you are never alone,
and the path always opens before you,
bright as a river course,
full as this moment,
gathering others
to dance in its bliss.

“give unto the Lord glory and strength”
It is rightfully called glory,
this internal exaltation,
this joy, this calm,
this shining out of
what I now experience as me
and know I don’t create it
Strength, as well, can truly be called given,
when I know this power
(which doesn’t come from me)
keeps welling infinitely,
supports me without end,
defines me as I use it
not to some grand end
that I have conjured up
but in the bright being
of eternal Soul.

Such an awe-inducing gift
to be shown
the innocence of all the people here —
the child light shining up
through everything they do,
the hope of goodness,
the hope of being seen
There is no snarl of circumstance
that’s not untangled
effortlessly, gently,
in the rising tide of gratefulness
as each of these
receives the benediction —
yes, you’re welcome and essential here,
yes, you are supported in your being.

The fact of your goodness
is not in question. It is the frame of it,
the why, I seek to point out.
It is the size of it, the scope,
the way your light holds true and shining
against the backdrop of infinity
It never was defined
by what you’re not,
what you’ve abstained from,
or lucked out of,
it’s not from being on the winning side
Your goodness is pure
and so it can define
for you, and maybe others,
how uplifting and illuminating goodness is.
Through this goodness you can know your source —
it quenches thirst and nourishes, the same.
