A slight shift in perspective
and suddenly, the interplay of things
is overtaken
by the interplay of color –
layers of light across the ground
picked up again in the layered colors
of last year’s blackberry vines,
the mauve and maroon
peaking through each other
Everywhere I look, echoes of the palette –
the gold sliding into the green and red,
the blue skimming across the gray –
I marvel at how deeply I am fed
by how colors
move through the day.
