Interruptions

interruptions

Any snag
in the loops of dream
can start your liberation

Though the smooth weave
you worked so hard to fashion
is now puckered,
Though gaping holes have opened
in your plans,
Though you feel tripped up, tangled
and abandoned,
Look up, for none of this
is what it seems

This is not the rupture of your good,
This is your revelation.
This is the way out
from your hard and dull pursuits,
This can begin your transformation

Look through —
There is a deeper order
that doesn’t run at odds
with who you long to be,
There’s an awakening
from toilsome drudgery,
There’s a release,
a time you see
There’s no need to go back and make repairs.
You never need to tend that dream again,
for you are free

  1. Wow, this really helps to how I feel….no longer a mother, and making efforts because I have a child and going further for his welfare. I’m left alone to do things just for myself again and I find I have a lot of trouble taking care of myself now. I knew how to take care of myself when Chris was alive ‘cuz I did it for him as an example of going on and striving higher and just keep going when against odds.I have to throw the old away now and begin new again and I’m afraid but at the same time it’s something I have no idea what it will look like and need to let go. Just thank you for your brilliant poetry and the art work. You are an inspiration.

    • Thank you for your insight. Your experience provides a fresh application of the thought. Your life is indeed an example that will help many (even without your trying to do so). I look forward to witnessing more light coming to you along your path.
