Tuning

In this vision,
the antelopes are tuned
into existence,
huge waves of them
rolling in and out of
atmospheric haze,
keenly aware of their
sharp pounding against the ground
in the rolling rhythm of multitude
and the strong smell of each other
and the heat and dust
and the surging imperative importance
of life, this now
in which they run.

  1. About this poem: I find myself questioning (especially on the edges between sleeping and waking, but moving into the ruminating moments of my days) the nature of being and how we come into existence and how we leave. This poem explores a vision of all life existing simultaneously in the implicate order, being tuned into perceptibility as music is tuned in on a radio frequency.
